Learning & Development

We are highly focused on the development of our people and aspire to have a skilled and engaged workforce. Employees have access to various development and career opportunities, including tertiary education. Rivalea has an in-house learning and development team and is equipped with its own dedicated training facilities and tailored resources.

We support and facilitate accredited training programs ranging from Certificate III Pork Production, to Diploma level qualifications as well as Higher Education in either Degree or Post Graduate studies in approved instances.

Seasonal Work Opportunities

Each year around September we commence our recruitment for casual seasonal opportunities. This work ideally suits university students or others who are looking for short term work over our busy November & December period. Expressions of interest can be sent to recruitment@rivalea.com.au

Work Experience

Some of our sites also offer work experience placements for students from local schools. These placements are usually short term (1-2 weeks) and can be a valuable in terms of exposure and experiences that can help young people determine their future career choices.

For individuals looking to do a gap year to gain some work experience, as well as earn some money prior to heading off to university, our casual opportunities within our agricultural operations or meat processing facility might be of interest.

For University students seeking an internship placement, Rivalea can establish a formal training agreement with the relevant University. These placements are usually 10-12 weeks duration and form part of undergraduate course requirements. Both Australian and overseas students have benefited from their experiences with placements at Rivalea.
